Filmtrio is an iPhone app made by Ablarva, Inc. ("we", "us"), 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA. We decide how the information described here is used. Write to us at info@ablarva.co about anything in this policy.
You sign in with Apple. Apple gives us an identifier for you and an email address, which can be a private relay address that Apple forwards. We create a Filmtrio ID that links your projects, your plan and your Filmtrio Pro status.
We upload the clips, photos and song you pick, the voice-overs you record, and any lines you have read aloud by an Apple voice. Your files can also carry details from your camera, such as when and where they were filmed and the phone's model. We use the date and place to put your shots in order. We use nothing else from those details.
We receive what you tell Filmtrio: your description of the video, your answers to its questions, the changes you ask for, and the text you put in your videos, such as titles, captions, subtitles and end text. We also receive the edits you make by hand. If you speak a request, Apple's speech recognition turns it into text, on your phone where your phone supports it, and only the text reaches us. The text and settings of My style and your brand kit go into a video only when you use them. Your logo stays on your phone.
From your files we make small still pictures of each shot, short notes on what each shot shows, a transcript of what is said in your clips, the edit plans and the videos.
If you allow notifications, we keep your phone's push token so we can tell you when your videos are ready. A notification can contain Filmtrio's reply to your change request. We remove the token when you sign out.
We count events such as "project started", "videos ready", "tool used" and "video shared", with numbers like how long a step took. If you share a video, we record which app you shared it to. These events are linked to your Filmtrio ID. They never include your clips, photos, words, captions or file names. We use them to find out where people get stuck and which tools help.
When the app or our server fails, we receive a technical report, linked to your Filmtrio ID. App reports contain no screenshots.
Filmtrio Pro is bought through Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple tells our subscription provider, RevenueCat, that you are subscribed, and RevenueCat tells us, using your Filmtrio ID.
We don't read your contacts, and we don't look at photos you haven't picked. We don't use advertising identifiers. Your phone uses Apple's maps to turn the place where a clip was filmed into a place name. That request goes from your phone to Apple. A place name reaches us only if you add it to a video.
These companies process information for us, only to provide Filmtrio:
| Company | What it does for Filmtrio | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | AI (Claude) that watches the shots, plans the edits, makes changes, writes captions and translates | Small stills of your shots (at most 512 pixels), your photos, your words, and what is said in your clips |
| ElevenLabs | Writes down what is said in your clips, and which sounds are heard | The sound of clips that have sound. We ask ElevenLabs to delete each transcript as soon as we receive it, and try again if that fails. If a request breaks off midway, a transcript can remain under ElevenLabs' own retention rules. We have turned off ElevenLabs' use of our data to improve its models. |
| A backup AI (Gemini), used only when Claude can't read a shot | A small copy of that clip, with its sound. We delete the copy from Google after the request; any copy left behind is removed by Google within 48 hours. We use Google's paid service, which doesn't train on what it receives. | |
| Apple | Sign in, notifications, purchases, place names, speech recognition | What each of these needs, under Apple's own privacy policy |
| RevenueCat | Keeps track of Filmtrio Pro subscriptions | Your Filmtrio ID and your subscription status |
| PostHog | App usage statistics, on servers in the EU | The usage events described above |
| Sentry | Crash reports | The crash reports described above |
| Cloudflare and Modal | Store files and run our servers | Everything we keep, stored for us |
Anthropic, ElevenLabs and Google receive your content through their business services. Under those terms, they don't use it to train their models.
In the app, open Account and tap Delete account. We delete your projects, their files, and your account. We cancel your Sign in with Apple link to Filmtrio, and we ask PostHog (usage) and RevenueCat (subscriptions) to delete what they hold under your Filmtrio ID. Crash reports carry no content and expire after 90 days. An active subscription is billed by Apple: cancel it in your Apple account settings.
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
Write to info@ablarva.co. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
In the EU and UK, we rely on these legal grounds:
Ablarva, Inc. and several of the services above are in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers from the EU and UK rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Filmtrio is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. In some countries the age is higher, up to 16 in parts of the EU. If you are under that age where you live, use Filmtrio only with a parent's or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how your content is used, we tell you in the app before it applies.
