Order Confirmation Board (LAN)

Portal 4-Dot Menu Data Management Ordering Settings Hardware Peripherals

To define settings for an Order Confirmation Board (OCB):

  1. From the upper-right of the Peripherals area, select New Peripheral.

  2. From the Peripheral Type dropdown, select Order Confirmation Board.

  3. From the Peripheral Schema dropdown, select Order Confirmation Board.

  4. From the Connection Type dropdown, select LAN.

  5. Select Continue.

  6. Locate the Peripheral Type section.

    • Toggle Active to Active if the device is available for use at the site.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

  7. Locate the Peripheral Configuration section.

    • In the Peripheral Name field, type a name for the device.

    • From the Output Format dropdown, select the applicable output (communication) format between the POS and the DMB device.

    • Toggle Display Tip Prompt on OCB to On to display the prompt for the guest tip on the customer-facing OCB.

      Toggle Off to display the prompt for the guest tip on the POS terminal.

    • Toggle Display Donation Prompt On OCB to On to display the prompt for guest donation on the customer-facing OCB. The guest is able to interact with the touchscreen to include a donation on their order.

  8. From the Connection Configuration section, define the following:

    • In the IP field, type the IP address for the device.

    • In the Port field, type the port number that is used to connect to the device.
