To add an allergen:

  1. From the Allergen List homepage, select New Allergen.

  2. From the General section, define general settings about the allergen.

  3. From the Allergen Icon section, select an image to display at the POS for the allergen.

  4. From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.

General

The following describes the settings in the General section.

Setting

Description

Name

Type the name of the allergen.

External ID

Type the external identifier to assign to the record.

External identifiers are product references used by external third-party services.

Allergen Icon

From the Allergen Icon section, select an image to display at the POS for the allergen.

  1. From the Name column, select the applicable Image Set.

  2. From the action bar located above the Image Set list, select Edit.

  3. From the Edit 'Allergen Icon' window, define the following:

    Description

    Type a name or description of the image.

    Image Source

    Select the source of the image:

    • URL - Specify the network or Internet URL for the image. In the Address field, type the URL for the image file.

    • Upload Image - Upload an image to the cloud. Select Choose File to locate and select the image file.

    The image is displayed in the Preview section. Select the image to zoom in.

  4. From the lower-right of the Edit window, select Done.

Note

All Image Sets with a Usage type of Allergen are listed in this section. To add an Image Set, use the Image Sets editor.
