Kitchen Management
![]() |
Kitchen Management—a browser-based, device agnostic, serverless solution—can leverage touchscreen and bumpbar input. The application is fully available at the site even when Internet access is offline. KM provides an API for submitting orders and replicates all received orders to every KM station, regardless of which one receives the order from POS. There is no single point of failure and POS applications can interact with any Kitchen station.
Kitchen routing schemes (e.g. Normal, Low Volume, High Volume, etc.) can be created to define which stations receive what content while Kitchen is running in that scheme. Routing rules can consider routing categories, destinations, statuses and other values when determining what content should route where.
Status of orders and items in the kitchen for each kitchen Station can be consumed by the POS application to provide reporting of speed of service and overall order status. Split screens, Ingredient and Order Summary Panes, Preparation Instructions, printing on bump are just a few of the supported features.
Release notes include the user experience, data, configuration, process workflow, reporting, and infrastructure improvements and updates for this production version of Kitchen Management (XKM) Shell and App.
