POS-43952

FreedomPay Integration

This update implements an optional feature that enables the user to cancel a payment transaction from the POS while it is processing on a payment device.

Payment Configuration Setting

From the Payments section of Company/Site Preferences in Data Management, configure the following setting:

  • Allow Cancelling In-Progress Transactions - Toggle Yes to allow the user to cancel a transaction while it is processing on a payment device.

    Toggle No to NOT allow the user to cancel a transaction while it is processing on a payment device.

Biometric Authentication

Implemented a Cordova plugin to interface the POS with biometric authentication hardware.

The plugin supports the following features:

  • Detection: Enables the POS to detect if the biometric device is available and ready to use.

  • Enrollment: Enables the POS to capture and enroll user fingerprints for identification.

  • Identification: Enables the POS to locate a specific user's fingerprints and identify the user record.

  • Verification: Enables the POS to compare a user's fingerprint to the enrolled fingerprint and determine if the prints match.

  • PIN Debit Card (US)

  • Interac Debit Card (Canada)
