Order Screens

The following describes how to create a screen that includes a set of Order Lanes to optimize Open Order views for cashiers.
From the Open Order Screens homepage, select New Screen.
Define the settings in the following sections:
Section
Description
Define general settings including the name and description of the order screen.
Identify the order lanes to display in this order screen.
Add at least one (1) order lane.
Identify the ordering and/or fulfillment service points that are allowed for the order screen.
Select a unique color for one or more order destinations to help users quickly identify orders that are assigned that destination.
If Show Accent Color is enabled for the Order Lane, then the specified color is displayed to identify orders in that Order Lane that are assigned that destination.
General Information
From the General Information section of the Order Screens editor, define the following settings:
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Name | Type a name for the order screen. |
Description | Type a description of the order screen including the content it displays. |
Active | Toggle Active if the order screen is currently available to use. Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site. |
Order Preview | Toggle Yes to enable the order preview feature. When enabled, a preview of the order is displayed when the user selects the corresponding Order Card. When this feature is disabled, the order is immediately resumed at the Order Entry screen when the user selects the corresponding Order Card. |
Order Lanes
From the Order Lanes section of the Order Screens editor, identify the order lanes to display in this order screen.
The following describes how to:
Add Existing Order Lane
To add an existing order lane to an order screen:
Locate the Order Lanes section of the order screen record.
From the Add Lanes dropdown in the upper-right, select Add Existing.
From the Add Lanes window, select the order lanes.
From the lower-right of the window, select Add # Lane(s).
From the Order Lanes section, select and drag the control to the left of the listed lanes to rank them from highest-to-lowest (where the lane at the top of the list has the highest rank).
From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.
Add New Order Lane
To add a new order lane to an order screen:
Locate the Order Lanes section of the order screen record.
From the Add Lanes dropdown in the upper-right, select Add New.
From the Create New Order Lane window, define the properties of the new order lane.

From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.
Service Points
From the Service Points section of the Order Screens editor, identify the ordering and/or fulfillment service points that are allowed for an open order screen. For more information about service points, see Service Points.
To identify the ordering service points:
From the upper-right of the Ordering Service Points section, select Add Service Point.
From the Add Service Points window, select the service point(s).
From the lower-right of the Add Service Points window, select Add [#] Service Points.
To identify the fulfillment service points:
From the upper-right of the Fulfillment Service Points section, select Add Service Point.
From the Add Service Points window, select the service point(s).
From the lower-right of the Add Service Points window, select Add [#] Service Points.
Accent Color
From the Accent Color section of the Order Screens editor, select a unique color for one or more order destinations to help users quickly identify orders that are assigned that destination.
If Show Accent Color is enabled for the Order Lane, then the specified color is displayed to identify orders in that Order Lane that are assigned that destination.
To add an accent color for an order destination:
From the upper-right of the Accent Color section, select Add Accent Color.
From the Destination dropdown, select the order destination.
From the Color field, select a color to identify the destination.
From the lower-right of the Add Accent Color window, select Save.
