Synchronized Content

The following describes how to synchronize multiple XDMB screens in a Content Layout so that the same media plays on all screens simultaneously.

Screen content is synchronized on startup and day part change. All synchronized screens display the content simultaneously when the day part begins.

If a device is offline, its screen synchronizes with the other screens in the layout when the device is back online.

Benefits of synchronized content:

  • Eliminate disjointed visual experiences and enhance customer engagement.

  • Display complementary promotions to increase sales opportunities.

Synchronize Content on Multiple Content Designs

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Digital Menu Board → Content Designs

To synchronize video and image components, set the playtime duration of the media carousel to the same value on all layers on all Content Designs in the Content Layout:

  1. From the Content Designs homepage, select the Content Design.

  2. From the Layers pane, select the media carousel.

  3. From the lower-right of Carousel Settings, locate the video component.

  4. Remove the check mark from the AutoÌý³¦´Ç±ô³Ü³¾²Ô.

  5. In the Duration(s) field, type the number of seconds to play the video.

Set the duration of video components to a whole number. Decimal values are not supported when synchronizing content.

    In this example:

    • An image is displayed for ten (10) seconds (a different image file may be used on each screen).

    • A video plays for fifteen (15) seconds.

Importante

  • Content Designs that require synchronization must be part of the same Content Layout.

  • The sequence in which the components are displayed within a media carousel must be identical across all Content Designs in the layout.

From Carousel Settings, select and drag the control to the left of the listed components to sort them in the desired sequence.
