Bundle Components

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Bundle Components

To create a bundle component:

  1. From the Bundle Components homepage, select New Bundle Component.

  2. From the menu pane on the left, select a page and define the respective settings.

    The following introduces the pages of the Bundle Components editor.

    Page

    Description

    General

    Configure the bundle component. The component types include:

    • Multiple Items - Two or more items selected as a single component during the order taking process.

    • Single Item - One item selected as a single component during the order taking process.

    • Item Offer - An additional item to offer to the customer based on the items in their order.

    Assigned To

    Assign the bundle component to products. See Assigned To.

Multiple Items

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Bundle Components

There are three (3) methods to add a Multiple Items bundle component type:

Multiple Items: Manual Selection

To add a Multiple Items bundle component using the Manual Selection method:

  1. From the General section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Type a name for the bundle component.

    Description

    Type a description of the component.

    Component Type

    Select Multiple Items.

    Enabled

    Toggle On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

    Destinations

    Select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    Associated Items

    Toggle On to identify the products included with this component as "Associated Items".

    "Associated Items" are hidden on SuiteSpot menus, but included on production reports.

    Toggle On if the following values must match:

    • The sum of the Default Quantity for all the products added to this component.

    • The component's Max Quantity value.

    The Default Quantity for each product and the Max Quantity for the component are defined in the Product Selection Criteria section below.

    If the sum of the Default Quantity of the products and the Max Quantity value do not match, then a Form Validation error message is displayed.

    Toggle Associated Items to Off if the values are not required to match.

  2. From the Product Selection Criteria section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Select Item Using

    Select Manual Selection.

    ¶¶Òõ Tagged With

    Select the tag(s) to use. All items associated with the tag(s) are added to the product list for the component.

    Min Quantity

    Type the minimum quantity for this component. The default is 1.

    For example, if the minimum quantity is 2, then the customer must select at least two (2) of the listed products for this bundled component

    Max Quantity

    Type the maximum quantity for this component. The default is 1.

    For example, if the maximum quantity is 2, then the customer cannot select more than two (2) of the listed products for this bundled component

    Enable Projected Pricing

    Projected Pricing provides advance notice of the future price of a product, allowing for better transparency about product pricing.

    • Toggle On to identify the product that is used to calculate the component's default price in advance of user selections at the POS.

      When toggled On, a Default Item for Pricing column is added to the ¶¶Òõ section of the form below.

    • Toggle Off to disable this feature.

  3. From the upper-right of the ¶¶Òõ section, select Add ¶¶Òõ.

    • From the Add ¶¶Òõ to Bundle Component window, select the products.

    • Select Add # Items.

  4. From the ¶¶Òõ section, configure the selected products:

    • Select and drag the control to the left of each product to sort the products in the desired sequence.

    • In the Default Quantity field, type the quantity of the product to add to the order by default.

    • Toggle Enabled to Yes if the item is currently available with this bundle component.

    • Toggle Default Item for Pricing to Yes to identify the product that is used to calculate the component's default price in advance of user selections at the POS.

      This column is only available when Enable Projected Pricing is toggled On in the Product Selection Criteria section above.

    • Select X to remove a product from the list.

Multiple Items: Menu Category

To add a Multiple Items bundle component using the Menu Category method:

  1. From the General section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Type a name for the bundle component.

    Description

    Type a description of the component.

    Component Type

    Select Multiple Items.

    Enabled

    Toggle On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

    Destinations

    Select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    Associated Items

    Toggle On to identify the products included with this component as "Associated Items".

    "Associated Items" are hidden on SuiteSpot menus, but included on production reports.

    Toggle On if the following values must match:

    • The sum of the Default Quantity for all the products added to this component.

    • The component's Max Quantity value.

    The Default Quantity for each product and the Max Quantity for the component are defined in the Product Selection Criteria section below.

    If the sum of the Default Quantity of the products and the Max Quantity value do not match, then a Form Validation error message is displayed.

  2. From the Product Selection Criteria section, define the following:

    From the dropdown, select the applicable menu category.

    The products in the selected menu category are added to the component.

    For example, if the minimum quantity is 2, then the customer must select at least two (2) of the listed products for this bundled component

    Max Quantity

    Type the maximum quantity for this component. The default is 1.

    For example, if the maximum quantity is 2, then the customer cannot select more than two (2) of the listed products for this bundled component

    Enable Projected Pricing

    • In the Default Quantity field, type the quantity of the product to add to the order by default.

    • Toggle Enabled to Yes if the item is currently available with this bundle component.

    • Toggle Default Item for Pricing to Yes to identify the product that is used to calculate the component's default price in advance of user selections at the POS.

      This column is only available when Enable Projected Pricing is toggled On in the Product Selection Criteria section above.

  4. From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.

Multiple Items: Variant Build

Importante

This feature is supported in version 3.9 (and greater).

To add a Multiple Items component type to a bundle using the Variant Build method:

  1. From the General section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Type a name for the bundle component.

    Description

    Type a description of the component.

    Component Type

    Select Multiple Items.

    Enabled

    Toggle On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

    Destinations

    Select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    Associated Items

    Toggle On to identify the products included with this component as "Associated Items".

    "Associated Items" are hidden on SuiteSpot menus, but included on production reports.

    Toggle On if the following values must match:

    • The sum of the Default Quantity for all the products added to this component.

    • The component's Max Quantity value.

    The Default Quantity for each product and the Max Quantity for the component are defined in the Product Selection Criteria section below.

    If the sum of the Default Quantity of the products and the Max Quantity value do not match, then a Form Validation error message is displayed.

  2. From the Product Selection Criteria section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Select Item Using

    Select Variant Build.

    Variant Build

    From the dropdown, select the variant build. The associated products are added as a bundle component.

    Quantity

    Type the quantity of the variant build to add as a component.

    Allow Custom Mixes

    Toggle the option to the preferred value:

    • Yes - The user at the POS is able to customize the mix of products to add to the order. This includes specifying the Main Variant quantities and the Associated Variant Types.

    • No - The user at the POS is NOT able to customize the mix of products.

    Build Method

    From the dropdown, select the preferred method for calculating the default quantities of the associated products when the component is added to an order at the POS.

    • Associated Variant Types - The ¶¶Òõ section below lists the associated variant types that have been identified as eligible for the variant build. The associated variant types represent modifications of a main variant.

      This option is not available if there are no "Associated Variant Types" added to the variant build.

    • Custom - The ¶¶Òõ section below lists the products with the "variant type" that is defined in the variant build.

      From the ¶¶Òõ section, specify the default quantity for the products.

    • Main Variant - The ¶¶Òõ section below lists the products with the "variant type" that is defined in the variant build.

      Having more than one product enabled that is associated with the same main variant will result in those items being added to the order by default, based on the distribution priority for the main variants in the variant build.

  3. From the ¶¶Òõ section, configure the products. The available configuration options are dependent on the Build Method selected in the previous step.

    Build Method

    Description

    Associated Variant Types

    • Select and drag the control to the left of each product to sort the products in the desired sequence.

    • Toggle Enabled to Yes if the item is currently available with this bundle component.

    • Select X to remove a product from the list.

    Custom

    • Select and drag the control to the left of each product to sort the products in the desired sequence.

    • In the Default Quantity field, type the quantity of the product to add to the order by default.

    • Toggle Enabled to Yes if the item is currently available with this bundle component.

    • Select X to remove a product from the list.

    Main Variant

    • Select and drag the control to the left of each product to sort the products in the desired sequence.

    • Toggle Enabled to Yes if the item is currently available with this bundle component.

    • Select X to remove a product from the list.

Single Item

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Bundle Components

To add a Single Item bundle component:

  1. From the General section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Type a name for the bundle component.

    Description

    Type a description of the component.

    Component Type

    Select Single Item.

    Enabled

    Toggle On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

    Destinations

    Select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    Associated Items

    Toggle On to identify the component as an "Associated Item".

    "Associated Items" are hidden on SuiteSpot menus, but included on production reports.

  2. From the Product Selection Criteria section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Quantity

    Type the quantity of the selected product to include as a component.

    Mark as Main

    Toggle On if this item is the main component of the bundle.

    • The main component is hidden on the order item listbox when the bundled product is added to an order.

    • This setting can only be toggled On for one item component per bundle.

    ¶¶Òõ

    To select the product:

    1. Select the ¶¶Òõ field.

    2. From the Add ¶¶Òõ to Bundle Component window, select the products.

    3. Select Add Item.

Filter the Product List

To filter the product list on the Add ¶¶Òõ to Bundle ComponentÌý·É¾±²Ô»å´Ç·É:

Item Offer

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Bundle Components

There are three (3) methods to add an Item Offer bundle component:

Item Offer: Manual Selection

To add an Item Offer component type to a bundle using the Manual Selection method:

  1. From the General section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Type a name for the bundle component.

    Description

    Type a description of the component.

    Component Type

    Select Item Offer.

    Enabled

    Toggle On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

    Offer Question

    Type a question for the order taker to ask the customer (e.g. Would you like to add an Ice Cream Cone?)

    Destinations

    Select the allowed order destinations for this component.

  2. From the Product Selection Criteria section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Select Item Using

    Select Manual Selection.

    ¶¶Òõ Tagged With

To add an Item Offer bundle component using the Menu Category method:

  1. From the General section, define the following:

    Toggle On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

Assigned To

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Bundle Components

From the Assigned To page of the Bundle Components editor, assign a bundle component to one or more products:

  1. From the upper-right of the Assigned to these ¶¶Òõ page, select Assign to ¶¶Òõ.

  2. From the Add ¶¶Òõ to Bundle Component window, select the products.

  3. Select Add # Items.

  4. From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.
