Menu Item Group

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Menu Layout → Menu Item Group

A Menu Item Group is a collection of similar products that are grouped together on a menu. The Menu Item Group component enables you to segment products on a menu by type.

Create Menu Item Group

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Menu Layout → Menu Item Group

From the Menu Item Group List homepage, select New Menu Item Group.

The following introduces the sections of the Menu Item Group editor:

Description

General

Define general settings including the Menu Item Group name and its active status.

POS Display

Define POS display settings of a Menu Item Group.

Items

Add items to a Menu Item Group.

General

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Menu Layout → Menu Item Group

To define general settings for a Menu Item Group:

  1. From the Create New Menu Item Group form, locate the General section.

  2. In the Name field, type a name for the Menu Item Group.

  3. Toggle ActiveÌý³Ù´Ç Active if the Menu Item Group is available for use at the site.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

  4. In the Description field, type a description of the Menu Item Group.

    • Some products, such as SuiteSpot, require a Menu Item Group description.

POS Display

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Menu Layout → Menu Item Group

To configure POS display settings for a Menu Item Group:

  1. From the Create New Menu Item Group form, locate the POS Display section.

  2. From the POS Display section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Maximum Rows

    Type the maximum number of menu rows to populate with the items in this group.

    • Use the -/+ controls to adjust the value as needed.

    • If no value is specified, all items in the group are displayed regardless of how many rows are required to display all items.

    Start on New Row

    Toggle On to always display items in this item group on a new row even when there is room to display the items on the same row as another group.

    Color 1

    Select the primary color for the menu item buttons.

    Color 2

    Select the secondary color for the menu item buttons to produce a gradient effect.

    Text color

    Select the color for the menu item button text.

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Menu Layout → Menu Item Group

To add items to a Menu Item Group:

  1. From the Create New Menu Item Group form, locate the Items section.

  2. From the upper-right of the Items section, select Add Items.

  3. From the Add Items window, select the items to add to the group.

  4. From the lower-right of the Add Items window, select Add # Items.

  5. From the Items section, select and drag the control to the left of the listed items to sort them in the desired sequence.
