Use the Customer Surveys editor to manage the survey codes that are automatically generated at the POS for qualifying orders, including the variables used to generate a survey code, and the message to print on the receipt.
The customer survey codes enable sites to invite guests to take a survey and provide feedback about their visit and the quality of the service.
Create Customer Survey
To create a customer survey:
From the upper-right of the Survey List screen, select New Survey.
From the menu pane on the left, select a page and define the respective settings.
The following introduces the pages of the Customer Survey editor.
Page
Description
Define general settings about a survey including its priority.
Define availability settings by POS screen, order source, order destination, and event type.
Identify the criteria to qualify for the survey, including eligible discounts.
Configure the code for the survey and the message to print on the guest receipt.
General
From the General page of the Customer Surveys editor, define general settings about the customer survey.
From the General section, define the following settings:
Setting
Description
Name
Type a unique name for the survey.
ID
Type a unique identification code for the survey.
External ID
Type a unique external identification code for the survey (if applicable).
External identifiers are used by third-party services to reference the survey.
Description
Type a description of the survey.
Locate the Generation section.
In the Priority field, type a numeric priority for the survey.
The number is used to identify the priority of the survey in relation to other surveys. A survey with a priority of 1 has the highest priority.
To the right of the Priority field, use the controls to reduce or increase the priority number at increments of one (1).
Availability
From the Availability page of the Customer Surveys editor, define availability settings for the customer survey, including:
The active status of the survey at each site.
Any conditions that affect the availability of the survey, including the order source, order destination, time period, and/or event type.
Active Status
From the Availability page of the Customer Surveys editor, define availability settings for the survey:
From the Availability page, locate the Availability section.
Toggle Active to Active if the survey is available for use at the site.
Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.
Availability Conditions
From the Availability Conditions section, define availability settings for the survey by order source, order destination, event type, and time period.
Order Source
Identify the order sources that are eligible for the survey:
From the Availability Conditions section, locate the Order Sources line.
To the far-right of the Order Sources line, select Edit from the 3-dot menu.
From the Condition dropdown, select the applicable option:

All
(Default) The survey is available for all order sources.
Only the Following
The survey is only available for the selected order sources.
Select Add Order Sources.
From the Add Order Sources window, select the order sources.
From the lower-right, select Add # Order Sources.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Excluding the Following
The survey is available for all order sources EXCEPT for the selected order sources.
Select Add Order Sources.
From the Add Order Sources window, select the order sources.
From the lower-right, select Add # Order Sources.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Destinations
Identify the order destinations that are eligible for the survey:
From the Availability Conditions section, locate the DestinationsÌý±ô¾±²Ô±ð.
To the far-right of the Destinations line, select Edit from the 3-dot menu.
From the Condition dropdown, select the applicable option:

(Default) The survey is available for all order destinations.
Only the Following
The survey is only available for the selected order destinations.
Select Add Destinations.
From the Add Destinations window, select the order destinations.
From the lower-right, select Add # Destinations.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Excluding the Following
The survey is available for all order destinations EXCEPT for the selected order destinations.
Select Add Destinations.
From the Add Destinations window, select the order destinations.
From the lower-right, select Add # Destinations.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Event Types
Identify the Event Types that are eligible for the survey:
From the Availability Conditions section, locate the Event Types line.
To the far-right of the Event Types line, select Edit from the 3-dot menu.
From the Condition dropdown, select the applicable option:

(Default) The survey is available for all Event Types.
Only the Following
The survey is only available for the selected Event Types.
Select Add Event Types.
From the Add Event Types window, select the Event Types.
From the lower-right, select Add # Event Types.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Excluding the Following
The survey is available for all Event Types EXCEPT for the selected Event Types.
Select Add Event Types.
From the Add Event Types window, select the Event Types.
From the lower-right, select Add # Event Types.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Time Periods
Identify the time periods that are eligible for the survey:
From the Availability Conditions section, locate the Time PeriodsÌý±ô¾±²Ô±ð.
To the far-right of the Time Periods line, select Edit from the 3-dot menu.
From the Condition dropdown, select the applicable option:

All
(Default) The survey is available for all time periods.
Only the Following
The survey is only available for the selected time periods.
Select Add Time Periods.
From the Add Time Periods window, select the time periods.
From the lower-right, select Add # Time Periods.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Excluding the Following
The survey is available for all time periods EXCEPT for the selected time periods.
Select Add Time Periods.
From the Add Time Periods window, select the time periods.
From the lower-right, select Add # Time Periods.
From the lower-right, select Add Condition.
Qualify Criteria
From the Qualify Criteria page of the Customer Surveys editor, identify the discounts that are incompatible with this customer survey.
When the discounts identified on this page are included on an order at the POS, then this customer survey is not eligible for the order.
To identify disqualifying discount(s):
Toggle Enable Disqualifying Discounts to Yes.
From the Condition dropdown, select the applicable condition:

Description
Any of the Following
The customer survey is ineligible if the order includes any of the identified discounts.
All of the Following
The customer survey is ineligible if the order includes all of the identified discounts.
Select Add Discounts.
From the Add Discounts window, select the discount(s).
From the lower-right of the window, select Add # Discounts.
Message & Code
From the Message & Code page of the Customer Surveys editor, configure the code for this customer survey and the message to print on the guest receipt.
