Retail Item - Price

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Product List

From the Price page of the Product List editor, define pricing settings for a product. The following introduces each section of the page.

Section

Description

Pricing

Specify the price to charge for the product at the POS.

Price Points

Specify the price to charge for the product at each price point.

Pricing Rules

Define rules for how a product is priced when certain conditions are met. For example, define a rule to charge a different price based on time period or order source.

Child-Item Pricing Rules

Specify the price when the product is a child of a parent product on an order.

Unit Pricing

Define the selling unit of the product including the unit size and type.

Pricing

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Product List

To specify the product price at the POS:

  1. From the Price page, locate the Pricing section.

  2. Toggle Open Price to Yes to prompt the order taker to type the price at the POS when the product is added to an order.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

  3. Toggle Tax Inclusive to Yes if all applicable taxes are included in the price.

    When enabled, tax is not applied to the price when the product is added to an order.

  4. In the Price field, type the product price.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

  5. From the Roll Up Price dropdown, select the applicable option. The selected option determines how the product price is rolled up into a parent product price.

    Option

    Description

    Do Not Roll Up

    Do NOT roll up the price to the parent product price.

    Roll Up After Tax

    Roll up the price to the parent product price AFTER tax is applied.

    Roll Up Before Tax

    Roll up the price to the parent product price BEFORE tax is applied.

Price Points

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Product List

Price points enable a site to charge a different price for a product during special events, such as a football game, for example.

  1. From the Price page, locate the Price Points section.

  2. For each listed price point, specify the price adjustment value.

    If a price is not defined for a price point, then the base price for the product is used.

    Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

    The following identifies the price adjustment types:

    Adjustment Type

    Description

    Replace

    The price defined for the price point replaces the base price of the product.

    Amount

    The base price of the product is adjusted by the specified amount.

    Percentage (%)

    The base price of the product is adjusted by the specified percentage.

Pricing Rules

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Product List

To specify how a product is priced when certain conditions are met:

  1. From the Price page, locate the Pricing RulesÌý²õ±ð³¦³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô.

  2. From the Pricing Rules section, select Add Pricing Rule.

  3. From the Pricing Rule form, define the product pricing rule.

Pricing Rules - General

  1. From the Pricing Rule form, locate the General section.

  2. In the Name field, type a name for the pricing rule.

  3. Toggle Tax Inclusive to Yes if all applicable taxes are included in the price.

    When enabled, tax is not applied to the price when the product is added to an order.

  4. From the Price Adjustment dropdown, select the desired method for adjusting the standard item price:

    • Replace – Replace the standard price with a specified price.

    • Amount - Adjust the standard price by a specified amount.

    • Percentage - Adjust the standard price by a specified percentage.

  5. From the Adjustment Value field, specify the price / amount/ percentage by which to adjust the standard price.

Pricing Rules - Roll Up Parent Pricing

From the Roll Up Price dropdown, select the applicable option. The selected option determines how the product price is rolled up into a parent product price.

Option

Description

Do Not Roll Up

Do NOT roll up the price to the parent product price.

Roll Up After Tax

Roll up the price to the parent product price AFTER tax is applied.

Roll Up Before Tax

Roll up the price to the parent product price BEFORE tax is applied.

Pricing Rules - Conditions

From the Conditions section of the Pricing Rule form, define at least one (1) condition for the pricing rule:

Destinations

From the dropdown, select the desired option:

  • All Destinations - The rule is not restricted by order destination.

  • Only the Following - Only apply the rule to the selected order destinations.

    From the Destination List dropdown, select the order destinations that are affected by the rule.

Order Sources

From the dropdown, select the desired option:

  • All Order Sources - The rule is not restricted by order source.

  • Only the Following - Only apply the rule to the selected order sources.

    From the Order Source List dropdown, select the order sources that are affected by the rule.

Price Points

From the dropdown, select the desired option:

  • All Price Points - The rule is not restricted by price point.

  • Only the Following - Only apply the rule to the selected price point.

    From the Price Point List dropdown, select the price points that are affected by the rule.

Time Periods

From the dropdown, select the desired option:

  • All Time Periods - The rule is not restricted by time period.

  • Only the Following - Only apply the rule during the specified time periods.

    From the Time Period List dropdown, select the time periods that are affected by the rule.

Note

If an order is entered during one time period and tendered in another, the product pricing for the time period when the order was entered is used.

Pricing Rules - Save the Record

To save the pricing rule and return to the PriceÌý±è²¹²µ±ð:

From the lower-right of the Pricing Rule form, select Add Pricing Rules.

  • The pricing rule is added to the list of rules in the Pricing Rules section.

  • Select and drag the control to the left of each rule to sort the list by highest-to-lowest priority (where the rule at the top of the list has the highest priority).

Child-Item Pricing Rules

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Product List

To define a child item pricing rule for a product:

  1. From the Price page, locate the Child-Item Pricing Rules section.

  2. From the Child-Item Pricing Rules section, select Add Child-Item Product Pricing Rule.

  3. From the Child-Item Pricing Rule form, define how the product is priced as a child item.

Child-Item Pricing - General

  1. From the Child-Item Pricing Rule form, locate the General section.

  2. In the Set Name field, type a name for the rule.

Child-Item Pricing - Choose ¶¶Òõ

  1. From the Child-Item Pricing Rule form, locate the Choose ¶¶Òõ section.

  2. From the Select Product dropdown, select the desired option:

    Option

    Description

    Specific Product

    Define the price of the product when it is a child of one or more specific products.

    Group of ¶¶Òõ (tags)

    Define the price of the product when it is a child of any product tagged with one or more specific tags.

    Tags and Specific ¶¶Òõ

    Define the price of the product when it is a child of one or more specific products OR any product tagged with one or more specific tags.

  3. Select the applicable products and/or tags for this child item pricing rule. The available fields are determined by the option selected in the previous step.

    • From the Individual ¶¶Òõ dropdown, select the specific products.

      When the product is ordered as a child of any of the selected products, the child item pricing rule is applied.

    • From the Parent Tag(s) dropdown, select the tags.

      Every product associated with the selected tags is an eligible parent item. When the product is a child of any of these items, the child item pricing rule is applied.

Child-Item Pricing - Pricing

  1. From the Child-Item Pricing Rule form, locate the Pricing section.

  2. Toggle Tax Inclusive to Yes if all applicable taxes are included in the price.

    When enabled, tax is not applied to the price when the product is added to an order.

  3. Toggle Quantity Based to Yes to enable the Pricing by Quantity feature.

    When enabled, the price of the product is determined by the quantity that is added to the order.

    For example, one (1) serving of Garlic Bread is provided free with an order, but each additional serving is priced at $0.99.

    • For additional instructions, skip steps 4-5 and see Pricing by Quantity below.

  4. From the Price Adjustment dropdown, select the desired method for adjusting the standard item price:

    • Replace – Replace the standard price with a specified price.

    • Amount - Adjust the standard price by a specified amount.

    • Percentage - Adjust the standard price by a specified percentage.

  5. From the Adjustment Value field, specify the price / amount/ percentage by which to adjust the standard price.

Note

When Quantity Based is toggled Yes, the Price Adjustment and Adjustment Value fields are removed from the form.

Child-Item Pricing - Pricing by Quantity

Note

Follow these steps when the Quantity Based setting in the Pricing section is toggled Yes.

  1. From the Child Product Type dropdown, select the desired option:

    Option

    Description

    Specific Product

    Define a quantity-based pricing rule for one or more specific products.

    Group of Specific ¶¶Òõ

    Define a quantity-based pricing rule for any product that is tagged with one or more specific tags.

    Both

    Define a quantity-based pricing rule for specific products and any product tagged with one or more specific tags.

  2. Select the applicable products and/or tags for this pricing rule. The available fields are determined by the selected option in the previous step.

    • From the Child ¶¶Òõ dropdown, select the specific products.

    • From the Child Tag(s) dropdown, select the tags.

      The pricing rule is applied to every product associated with the selected tags.

  3. From the Pricing by Quantity section, select Create to define a new pricing by quantity rule.

    Repeat the following steps to add each quantity range and its respective price:

    • Use the +/- buttons to set the Range Start to the lowest product quantity in the range.

    • Use the +/- buttons to set the Range End to the highest product quantity in the range.

    • From the Price Adjustment dropdown, select the desired price adjustment option:

      • Replace – Replace the standard price with a specific price when the quantity ordered is within this range.

      • Amount - Adjust the standard price by a specific amount when the quantity ordered is within this range.

      • Percentage - Adjust the standard price by a specified percentage.

    • From the Adjustment Value field, specify the price/amount/percentage by which the price is replaced/adjusted.

    • From the lower-right, select Done.

Child-Item Pricing - Roll Up Parent Pricing

  1. From the Child-Item Pricing Rule form, locate the Roll Up Parent Pricing section.

  2. From the Roll Up Price dropdown, select the applicable option. The selected option determines how the product price is rolled up into a parent product price.

    Option

    Do Not Roll Up

    Do NOT roll up the price to the parent product price.

    Roll Up After Tax

    Roll up the price to the parent product price AFTER tax is applied.

    • Toggle Use Alternative Item Price to On to use the price of another item when rolling up the price.

    • From the Select Alternative Item dropdown, select an item price to calculate the currency amount to roll up to the parent product. The difference is displayed as the child item price.

    Roll Up Before Tax

    Roll up the price to the parent product price BEFORE tax is applied.

    • Toggle Use Alternative Item Price to On to use the price of another item when rolling up the price.

    • From the Select Alternative Item dropdown, select an item price to calculate the currency amount to roll up to the parent product. The difference is displayed as the child item price.

Child-Item Pricing - Conditions

From the Conditions section of the Child-Item Pricing Rule form, define conditions for the pricing rule:

Destinations

From the dropdown, select the desired option:

  • All Destinations - The rule is not restricted by order destination.

  • Only the Following - Only apply the rule to the selected order destinations.

    From the Destination List dropdown, select the order destinations that are affected by the rule.

Order Sources

From the dropdown, select the desired option:

  • All Order Sources - The rule is not restricted by order source.

  • Only the Following - Only apply the rule to the selected order sources.

    From the Order Source List dropdown, select the order sources that are affected by the rule.

Price Points

From the dropdown, select the desired option:

  • All Price Points - The rule is not restricted by price point.

  • Only the Following - Only apply the rule to the selected price point.

    From the Price Point List dropdown, select the price points that are affected by the rule.

Child-Item Pricing - Save and Close the Record

To save the pricing rule and return to the Price page:

From the lower-right of the Child-Item Pricing Rule form, select Add Child-Item Product Pricing Rules.

  • The pricing rule is added to the list of rules in the Child-Item Pricing Rules section.

  • Select and drag the control to the left of each rule to sort the list by lowest-to-highest priority (where the rule at the top of the list has the highest priority).

Unit Pricing

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → ¶¶Òõ → Product List

To define the selling unit of the product including the unit size and type:

  1. From the Price page, locate the Unit Pricing section.

  2. In the Unit Size field, type the numeric size of the unit that corresponds to the configured product price.

  3. From the Unit Type dropdown, select the applicable type of unit that represents the product that is sold.
