From the Drawers page of the Terminal Scheme editor, select the desired banking mode for cash drawer sessions:

Description
Employee
Cash drawers are assigned to a specific employee. Only the assigned employee can sign on and perform transactions during the cash drawer session.
Terminal
Any employee with the appropriate user role permissions can sign on and perform transactions during the cash drawer session.
The manual drawer assignment function is disabled.
None
Terminal is used for order entry only. Tender operations are not available. A cash drawer session is not associated with the terminal.

Require Drawer Starting Amount Confirmation
Prompt the assigned cashier to confirm the currency amount in the physical drawer when a new drawer session is started.
Require Drawer Assignment
Every drawer session must be assigned to a specific employee.
Require Manual Drawer Assignment
Every drawer session must be manually assigned to a specific employee.
If this setting is NOT enabled, a drawer is automatically assigned to the employee who signs on to a terminal.
Prompt for Drawer Assignment on Sign On
Prompt employees to accept the drawer assignment when they sign on to a terminal.
This feature enables the employee to immediately start using the terminal without having to manually assign the drawer to themselves.
This setting is not available if Require Manual Drawer Assignment is selected.
Require Manager Permission for Drawer Assignment
Managers must approve every drawer session assignment.
Allow Manager to Access Cashier Assigned Drawers
Managers can access drawer sessions assigned to another employee.
Close Drawer on Clock Out
Automatically close the drawer session when the employee assigned to the drawer Clocks Out.
