Camera (LAN)

¶¶ÒõCloud Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Hardware → Peripherals

To define settings for an integrated camera with a LAN connection:

  1. From the upper-right of the Peripherals area, select New Peripheral.

  2. From the Peripheral Type dropdown, select Camera.

  3. From the Peripheral Schema dropdown, select Camera.

  4. From the Connection Type dropdown, select LAN.

  5. Select Continue.

General

  1. From the menu pane on the left, select General.

  2. From the Peripheral Type section, toggle Active to Active if the device is available for use at company sites.

    • Toggle Active to Active if the device is available for use at the site.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

  3. From the Peripheral Configuration section, define the following:

    Description

    Peripheral Name

    Type a name for the device.

    Vendor

    From the dropdown, select the vendor for the device.

    Model

    From the dropdown, select the device model.

    Camera Response Wait Time

    Type the number of milliseconds to wait for a response from the camera before the POS closes the conection to the camera and attempts to reconnect.

  5. Locate the Credentials Configuration section.

    Description

    Camera ID

    Type the ID to access the camera device.

    Camera Password

    Type the password used to access the camera device.

    Type the port number that is used to connect to the device.
